UK Movie Stars and the Royal Naval Cinema Gibraltar 1934

A fascinating group of larger sized signed photos I recently purchased are featured currently in my ebay shop and aside from the great images the dedications with the signature are also intriguing?

There are seven large pictures and six of them feature a dedication “to the patrons of the Royal Naval Cinema Gibraltar” with some dated 1934. The movie stars featured are Ralph Lynn, Tom Walls (also a film director), Yvonne Arnaud, Hartley Power, Gordon Harker, Emlyn WIlliams. Also featured but with only a signature and no dedication is a fine picture of the German actor Conrad Veidt who emigrated from Nazi Germany in 1933 as a strong anti-Nazi (but then spent his acting time playing Nazis including a major part in the film Casablanca).

Most of the actors seem to be featured in two or three films of the time so they may have been promoting those films by having these signed pictures maybe posted in the foyer of the cinema. Unfortunately I can find no information on this venue anywhere on the internet, so if anybody can furnish me with some information I would be grateful?

I have added a selection of the pictures below, but they are available in my ebay shop here (also unrelated to these but I also have for sale a very nice signed photo of the 1930/40s Hollywood star Deanna Durbin who I believe is still alive and living a very private life in France after retiring at the grand old age of 29!).
